Just One Phone Call

I am not sure how I stumbled upon Duke Clarke and The God Wants you to Prosper Family, but I am sure glad I did.  The truth is, his site and his materials were exactly what I had been praying to find for some time. You see, I had read about "The Secret" and knew as a Christian that although much of what was being taught was very "new age", there was a truth in the "law of attraction", as all things are created by God. 

I began listening to the  Duke's free recordings and devouring his emails.  They were "speaking to me" and planting seeds of truth regarding MY responsibility to prosper.  At that time, as a business coach, my clients were experiencing tremendous prosperity - far above and beyond my own level of financial success.   Truthfully, money was the only area of my life that I did not feel I was living abundantly.  I began to think perhaps it was as it should be.  My family spent a great deal of time together. I loved what I did for a living, which also kept me home with my young children, and my husband loved his job as a school teacher.  I have a great extended family, a fabulous home church, a thriving marriage, and healthy, whole children.  Was my desire for more "wealth" godly? 

I emailed Duke in response to one of his emails and he offered to speak with me one-on-one on the phone.   Knowing what his time is worth, I could not pass up this opportunity.  I shared with him all that I  just described... my abundance in life .. all except in the area of money.  I can't tell you what that call did for me. In less than 20 minutes, he had shined a light on the "belief system" that was holding me back in this area:  Simply put, I equated having MORE MONEY with having LESS TIME with my children and husband.   It didnt matter where I got that belief from. Two things mattered:  1)  That belief was "stinkin' thinkin' and UNTRUE. and 2) I could use God's word to replace that belief with the truth about prosperity.  I hung up the phone knowing that my life and my finances had been changed forever - literally.   I even told my husband that our days of "paycheck to paycheck" were over, and I immediately ordered Duke's book, "Get the Skinny on Prosperity".  

The book completed the transformation of my beliefs about money, and ministered to me with such clarity and truth and in such a matter-of-fact and encouraging way.  Hands down, it is the best $10 I have ever spent.  Fast forward just a few short months from first stumbling upon Duke's site:  I make MORE money, working LESS hours.  I am more relaxed about money and enjoy my family time even more.  Without "money problems", I no longer lay awake at night running numbers and wondering where the money is going to come from.   God is truly prospering all that I do and continues to amaze me.   For years, it has been my desire to speak to corporations and women's groups.  God has now opened that door.  I have also signed with a large publisher to write my first book, which will only allow my speaking business and ministry to grow exponentially.  To say I have been blessed by Duke, his website, his book and his other materials would be a gross understatement.  They have changed my life and the life of my family forever.  Thank you!!

Extra Blessings

Subject: Thankfulness/Growth

Hello everyone. I haven't written in about a year, but I must today. I can't remember when I have been more thankful to God in my entire life than I am today; not because some great event happened and really blessed me but because I have learned to be thankful deep in my heart.

This is far more enduring and meaningful than being tied to something that is only a temporary occurrence. It has been extremely profitable to constantly work on "mindset" rather than a shallow "step by step" process of how to get from point "A" to point "B". There are plenty of "Gurus" out there that would gladly take your money to show you "How" to get from where you are to where you want to go (financially independent) with NO advice/teaching on "mindset."

I received a solicitation in the mail the other day that said, "You don't even have to think. We do all the thinking for you." While that might be "tempting" for some, without the proper "mindset" you won't be ready to handle all that responsibility, and risk losing everything. I am so thankful that Duke continues to push "mindset" (a sometimes slow brick by brick building of a prosperity home).

What I now have is something that cannot be taken away by a circumstance. So what, if I have been in this program for over 4 years. If that's what it takes for me to "get it right" then I have a solid foundation.

I am no longer driven only for "something new." Really, when you think about it, almost everything that is in this program is based upon "renewed mind" (Romans 12:2). Ever hear of that before? We are just being shown an old idea in a different way. Being so thankful can tempt me at times to be complacent, but I know it's God's will for me to grow because I benefit the most. So I continue to challenge myself with newer and higher goals. Oh, and by the way, I HAVE seen tremendous results year after year:

1. I'm peaceful now in the midst of situations that used to make me very angry.
2. I KNOW my FATHER will pull through for me. I used to get very afraid.
3. My income has skyrocketed to 6 figures and keeps increasing.
4. I love myself so much I could just kiss myself.
5. I used to blame so many others for my failures, but I now know how to take personal responsibility for my actions.
